Even Cheon Nyeonbi, one of the four archvillains of the martial arts world, fell in love—only to be poisoned by her beloved and left to die alone in a cold, dark cave. Brokenhearted and furious, Nyeonbi suddenly opens her eyes as the affluent Lady Cheon Soyeo, a quiet and dreary concubine in the imperial palace with no prospects and seemingly nothing in common with Nyeonbi. Nyeonbi's quirky and bold personality quickly makes waves throughout the palace. She is confident her newly acquired womanly charms have won the affections of the infamous General Heuk-hap, who secretly brings her rice cakes at night but ignores her during the day. Moreover, the emperor suddenly begins to summon her for "night duties," yet he makes no advances on her. Confused by the men's behavior, Nyeonbi attempts to avoid the uninteresting schemes of the court and learn the reason behind this ridiculous second chance at life. [Written by MAL Rewrite]
